In spring 2010, Greg Holmes of Big Game International, a Chicago-based manufacturer and distributor of sporting goods, contacted me. He had read Thrive Fitness and felt that my approach to exercise—a tool to enhance overall quality of life—was in perfect alignment with his.
We became partners and in doing so, created a line of exercise equipment, call ZoN Fitness. And, to accompany the equipment, I developed a comprehensive written and video downloadable fitness and plant-based nutrition program based on my books, The Thrive Diet, and Thrive Fitness. This program is free. A DVD is included with perchance of the equipment, but the identical video content can be downloaded at no cost from the website.
I was delighted to align myself with ZoN Fitness, having longed for a broad mainstream platform to disseminate what I consider to be vital information, information that I figure should be taught in school—the practical value of greater fitness and proper nutrition for long-term health. Personally, I believe governmental aught to make this information available, assessable, and affordable to the masses; however, Im not about to wait for that to happen. Since every 34 seconds a North American dies of cardiovascular disease (which is nearly 100% preventable with proper plant-based nutrition and exercise) I felt compelled to put out assessable, easy to understand material. To me, this information and accessibility to affordable exercise equipment, is a right, not a privilege.
As the largest distributor of sporting goods in the world, Big Game International / ZoN Fitness serves as an outstanding conduit for information to an immense and diverse audience. Right now the ZoN Fitness brand is available in Rite Aid stores in the US. Please check the website, as new stores will be added as they come on board.
